Recently, ENVY Advertising had the pleasure of working with the young and talented team from The Keep Productions on a series of films for the outdoor clothing brand, Sealskinz. The Keep were engaged by creative agency, Croud to come up with a series of short films that would reinforce the Seakskinz’s brand identity whilst creating emotive and sharable films for a digital platform.
The team subsequently created three very different and thought provoking films to showcase people who had overcome a personal hardship to achieve sporting success; from a sportsman who continues to cycle with a life threatening heart condition, a mountain biker who found the courage to overcome an abusive relationship, to an athlete who won a World Championship gold medal after just a year of training.
Liam, one of the Directors at The Keep commented, “The waterproof hats, gloves and socks that Sealskinz develop means that there’s no excuse for not training. Sealskinz are all about helping people push themselves to their limits, but they understand that to truly succeed you need real will power and endurance. With all this in mind, we started to explore who these people are and the #IAmEndurance campaign began.”
The Keep came to ENVY Advertising to work with Colourist, Belgin Kaplan;
“Tonally, it was really important for the films to feel natural and emotive, yet powerful. Belgin was brought on to the project with the challenge of not only influencing this tone, but also to help reinforce the connection between the films through the colour palette. This was a tricky task as the three films were shot using four different cameras by two different Directors of Photography. Belgin’s efficient and creative approach to the project was a great asset, she executed the brief perfectly, skilfully developing the colour tone to strengthen each character’s story.”
Belgin, who has a back ground in fine art, has been with ENVY for over 4 years and has worked her way up through the ranks and is now Grading a range of projects. Recent credits include;
